To Add Comments to a Document

You can add comments to a document, directly from within the document itself. When doing so, you are limited to adding comments to that specific document whereas when you add comments to documents from within a workflow, you may add a comment to multiple documents simultaneously. Follow these steps to add a comment to a document, in AssetWise CONNECT Edition.

  1. Open the document for which you want to add a comment.
  2. Select the Comments tab. This tab displays all comments for the document.
  3. From the Actions menu, select Create comment.
    The Create Comment dialog appears. For example,
  4. Select a Decision from the list, such as "Rejected", "Approved", or "Approved with Comments".
    Note: The options in the list may vary, depending on how your ALIM System Administrator has configured your system.

  5. Enter a Subject for the comment.
    Note: This field is required.
  6. Enter a Summary in the box.
    Note: This field is required.
  7. When you are finished, click Save ( ).
The comment is added to the list.
